InterFaith Community
Music Festival
at St. Cecelia's Catholic Church
The 11th annual Bainbridge Island/North Kitsap InterFaith Community Music Festival will bring together singers and musicians from the varied IFC groups. Combined choir will be directed by Sylvia Cauter, choir director of Bethany.
An event that has become a Bainbridge IFC tradition: students, parents, and volunteers organize this spiritual celebration for all graduating seniors. 2012 location TBD...
Baccalaureate 2011 was held at Grace Episcopal Church, 3 pm on Sunday, June 5th.
Approx. 80 graduating seniors participated in their caps and gowns.
Annually on December 10 at 12 noon on the Bainbridge Island City Hall / BPA Plaza.
IFC delegate Bill Scarvie led the Interfaith Council's 4th annual Community Read-in of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. People of many faiths stood together on common ground to declare the “inherent dignity” of all members of the human family and their “equal and inalienable rights." Join us next Dec. 10 to again share the reading of this inspirational document.

Designed and operated online by the Social Action Committee of Cedars Unitarian Universalist Church, the AGP encourages anyone, of any age, to give donations to nonprofit organizations as holiday gifts, rather than buying more things.
The annual window for participating is during the months around the winter gift-giving season. The 2011-12 catalog includes gifts from 14 local, national and worldwide organizations. (Last year we raised over $5400 for a dozen varied groups.)
We screen each of the organizations in the catalog to be sure it uses the donations wisely and takes its mission seriously. We also have forged personal relationships with many of these organizations so we know they are run by dedicated, passionate people who share a deep sense of purpose and an unyielding commitment to the interdependent web of all existence.
Please join us this holiday season as we continue to spread hope and empowerment to people throughout the world.
Neighbors of many faith traditions gathered for the annual Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service on Tuesday, November 22rd, 2011, 7 pm at Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church (11042 Sunrise Dr NE, Bainbridge Island).
The theme, "In Gratitude For Those Who Have Come Before Us," carried over from the 2010 event, which was canceled due to inclement weather. The service included representatives from 20 faith groups, and included hymns, prayers, silent meditation, reflections, and beautiful music. There was a special collection for the Japanese-American Internment Memorial on Bainbridge Island. Refreshments and fellowship followed the service. People also brought donations of nonperishable food for Helpline House and Fishline. Preschool nursery care was available. Enjoy the creative Thanksgiving Service Poster.
JOIN us next year on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012!
CROP Hunger Walk raises money for hunger fighting projects locally, through Helpline and Fishline, and globally with various international partners. Look for the Bainbridge North Kitsap walk on the CROP Hunger Walk website:
